Biological Laser Effects-

The phenomenon of laser biostimulation was first specified in 1967 by EndreMester. specific parts of the cellular mitochondrial chains have the ability to absorb specific wavelength of laser radiation and release of other signal molecule(NO,cytokines,growth factors) results in increased formation of ATP, increasing the cellular metabolism resulting in tissue regeneration and healing.

The laser radiation affects also increased fibroblastic activity, collagen synthesis and angiogenesis due to endothelial cell proliferation in tissue affected.

The effects on suppression of the inflammation were proven by inhibiting anti-inflammatory cytokines(interleukins) in the tissue and pain release is explained by suppressing inflammation and swelling and directly by stimulating secretion of endogenous opiates- endorphins and encephalins and reducing the distribution speed in A-delta and C nerve fiber.
